I moved to Fayetteville in August of 1977, but I was not aware of this heartbreaking story until many years later. I am so sorry about her suffering and the suffering of her family.

First, thank you for the response.

Pauline’s tragic ending is indeed one of those little known stories the further one travels away from the intersection of Duncan and Treadwell. That said, I am sure the case would not have grown so cold so quickly had her parents not passed away in two years later in 1973. My mother who is a granddaughter to one of Pauline’s aunt’s had not even known of her their passing.

Sadly, 54yrs later and the State of Arkansas’ State Police Cold Case division has closed the case unsolved due to original investigating agencies of Fayetteville, Washington County losing or destroying nearly off case files and any evidence collected back then.

I do have 4 theories of who the killer may have been, but no provable motives just circumstantial.

Why do I care?

It’s because my maternal grandfather’s cousin was Pauline Storment and I have seen everyone who knew her pass on without ever learning the truth.

So, that is why this site is dedicated to exposing the hidden truths that have held her tragic murder in the shadows for all these years.

We may never ger the complete picture of that night but I will go to my grave knowing I did everything to honor her memory and untangle the web of confusion that has engulfed this case for half a century and counting.
